Hermione Syrogiannopoulou - Solo exhibition

DL gallery presents on Saturday 13th of April 2024 the solo exhibition of Hermione Syrogiannopoulou titled “KNOTS”.
Even the most indifferent work of an artist is more important than its evaluation.
Yet recently an old schoolmate of mine stood before a work by Hermione Syrogiannopoulou in Chania, Crete and declared in public: “This is beautiful! No explanation. It’s just very beautiful!”.
My reaction to this statement was passive; I remained silent. A little later I realised that my old school mate was wrong: the inability to justify beauty, this “no explanation”, comes from the power... more in the press release that follows
